EcoEnergy Auditor Qualifications

NRCan (Natural Resources Canada) through service partener license all Ceritfied Energy Auditors (CEA).

This process involves an intensive 4 Day (40 Hour) course of material on the EcoEnergy Program and how to conduct

EcoEnergy audits.  Students must be Residential Home INspectors or have a significant amount residential

building knowledge. The students are then put through field Audits conducted by a licenced instructor. 

These Audit are marked and critiqued by the instructor and discussed with the potential Auditor.   

The potential Auditor must submit and have approved 7 Field audits before they can write the ministry Approved exam. 

If passed the Auditor is assigned a license number which designates the service orginization and auditor number.

The potential Auditor gets 1 oppourtunity to pass the exam and if this doesnt happen they gave to wait 3 months before

writing again.  They only get 1 last attempt. 

Steven Davies passed the exam and was licensed under the number 22P4.
